Anyone able to help with this problem, we have taken to honda 3 time for the fix. Well she's up too the old trix again. Hit the starter button she'll turn and turn catch and turn the motor maybe once then run runcatch turn motor once. "Reminds me of when the oneway bearing goes out in a nitro R/C car starter.

Just convert it to a kicker you know you want to lol
G
that costs too much...not worth it imo
after the cost of fixing 3-4 times.......the conversion would have been paid off.

never ever touch the gas lever when starting and make sure your compressor is adjusted properly. If those two things aren't done, you can screw up your starter clutch(one way bearing)
Yes never touch the gas we don't big NO NO...
decompressor how can we adjust that ? They have told us that before, but they have adjusted it and it has struggled to start at time but not like this. Can I replace starter with something stronger ?
im betting someone aint adjusting your decomp correctly...

set your cranking pressure to about 60psi....no more

buy a new starter clutch (about $50 from SH) and install......you might need a new 'race' as well.... another ($50)....

or....talk the dealer into performing this task for FREE....since even HONDA is well aware of these issues..... has you bike had the service recall on the reduction gear yet?

OK how do you do these things, ,"mainly adjusting the psi " also not sure if it has been done or not "recall on the reduction gear yet?"

You need a compression guage to set the decomp lever.
