06 Starter Upgrade Campaign FYI

Just to pass this along to anyone with an 06 having starter issues. Honda is no longer repairing the starter on the 2006 ER. This was apparently not a recall it was a "Product Update Campaign" and it lapsed on AUG 1, 2008. I tried having mine covered as "good will" and they would not cover it.

yea I am kinda bummed that I had my motor apart during this campaign. Before she locked up, it was still working fine. Hopefully it holds up for a while.

Im worried abt this too. its only a matter of time before mine fails. prob. when im in middle of glamis on a hot day. :11doh:
