Motor build/ fuel

Anyone thing they could point me in the direction of power gain?

Currently I have a 04/05

Cp 13.5:1 piston
Squish is set to .040”
Ocp ported head been decked .025”
Stage 2 hot cam
Stock stroke and bore
Bored fcr with the adapter to a 04/05 box (42.5 if I remember right)
The adapter for a 06 filter
No toil 06 filter
Full yoshimura exhaust
Fuel c12

What part of this combo is laking on the power side.

It make 50.x on the dyno last time it went. I was looking for my paper but can’t seem to find it to up load a picture of the graph

Would changing to a fuel like u4.4 get me to the 55 area? Maybe a dynatek cdi to move the rev limiter up?

Hot rods crank and main bearings (mine locked up 3 months after the top end was done)
Wiesco 11.5:1 piston

Yeah that Yoshimura is holding you back. If your looking for high 50’s I would get Dasa or Monster exhaust. Early HRC or stage 3 hotcam would be my choice for the cam you need.

Shameless plug here, but I have a full Dasa for an 04/05 for sale. If you're looking for an exhaust that excels in that power range and more, this would be it. As mentioned above, that Yoshimura is not helping your cause.

So do these dyno results change that much with a 5-9hp increase?

I do have a dasa and web 208 laying here I was going to use in my other build but I may put them in this one to see how they preform. I already check clearances with the 208 when assembling just in case I ever wanted to change it out.

This was the dyno comparison I was looking at. I forgot to attach it.

With your mods if you install the 208 and the dasa i can see it hitting 57hp+ on the dyno. Get ahold of Jeff at OCP and consult with him about what springs to run with the 208. I also think that even if you just threw on the dasa you would pick up an extra 3 horse with some jetting changes.

Another thing you could do for more power is using your stock intake with an adapter and big filter. The more air you pull in and get out the better these bikes will run. As for the cdi, I prefer the Dynatek programmable over non programmable.

Had the spring kit for it put in when he did the head 😉

That would be a huge jump in power.

Perfect. Another thing you could check is your carb to head boot. Since your carb is bored you need to have that boot bored (basically port matching) I used a dremel on mine to match the bigger carb. If it’s not port matched your leaving 2-3 horse on the table.

Hmm 🤔 I’ll pull that off and do that then. I sure last time I had it off and was looking at it there was a lip sticking up in the bore
