Won’t idle

I was wondering if my intake valves were tight if that would cause the bike to surge and not idle consistently. It’s got a dynojet kit with a175 mainland a 50 pilot . Fuel air screw 2.5 turns out

Have you checked the boots for intake leaks? Sounds like that’s what could be going on, that or your pilot jet may be clogged.

If you have a hanging idle this is what I would do

Look through pilot jet and pilot circuit to make sure nothing is clogged

Make sure all clamps are tight from the cylinder head to the air box

If it still idles bad spray around the carb to head boot and carb to air box boot.. if at any point when you are spraying the idle changes you have an air leak.

Yes the valves being out of adjustment will cause idle issues and hard start when warm.

What year quad do you have?

I think you have way to rich of a Pilot Jet because 50 Pilot in Dynojet brand is bigger then normal Kiehin jets. One trick to try is turn the Choke ON, now if that was a Success then you're Pilot jet is way to rich.

Dynojet 175 is equal to a 197 Keihin (OEM Jet)
Dynojet 50 is equal to a 57 Keihin (OEM Jet)

go with oem jets or at least use a Jetting Size Converter because Dynojets cause a lot of confusion.

If you clean the carb Dissemble the entire carburetor, take all jets and mixture needle out being sure not to loose the springs that go under the mixture needle aand so on, use compressed air (don't use carb cleaner if you have a FCR Carb)

Is your bike 04/05 or 06+? If it’s an 06+ I would start at a 42 pilot jet.

50 keihin pilot lol and a 197 equivalent ?!? OMG if it's a FCR (06+) they have used numbers out of the 04-05 carbs.
And if it's a 04-05, yes the valves will cause the bike not to idle and be a pain to start.
