Angel, one other question, if it's posted somewhere and I missed it I apologize, what year quad do you have?
I ask because the last time I checked racers edge had a much better price on porting for 06+ heads then for 04/05s
Of course it will be for stage one porting for the 06+

If you are on a budget and that is the big reason you are considering mixxer you might also look up Matt at dynamite. He is also very good and at one time ran some pretty good specials.
Shops I would recommend are in order, racers edge, OCP, Dynamite, Rage, Dasa, sparks. Morgan would also be in there somewhere but the last I heard he no longer had a shop.

Loose: def. Not firmly attached or fixed in place. Like a pea brain rattling around in a human sized cranium.

Lose: def. Fail to win, unable to find. Lose(r) would be someone that has no grasp of manners, grammar, or of the concept of listening to the advice of his/her betters.

Wow you came out of retirement, your last post was 5 months ago when you were crying about shoulder surgery & your too old to ride a quad anymore & that you have confined yourself to a razr? Your quotes used are clearly borrowed & your just an old washed looser, why don't you go doublecheck the seatbelt in the razr,it would be a shame if you were ejected over the speed bumps at the retirement home

i just ordered a 613/812 webcam which is for torque and acceleration, which will be perfect for the 300ft drags we have here

You might want to give Morgan a quick private message & paste this parts list above,I'm sure he would reply & give you his opinion on carb/piston/cam/head porting & valves/gearing,he is one of the last top notch builders who actually visits this site once in a while still.keep us up to date & post some pics

bro I had mine done by mixer a while back. and when I send it to RE to change valves, they almost cryed for the POS job it was done.. they fix it and upgraded my head.. and I had 3 big races on it and still pulling solid...

get RE, or OCP

run the CNC to properly take off material and upgraded to +1 valves and springs..

no pics , sorry. but I did it for the 2014 Baja 500 and I haven't had to change valves or springs. and I raced the 500 and V2R and some local races and still pulling great..

WHAT? Another thing to add to list of porting questions when I call the builder. You have to ask how long the porting will last and how much it will cost to rebuild the porting when it wears out because the porting is making my motor slow down. Because we all know air and gasoline mixture is really abrasive. And it matters what builder you choose because some porters are less prone to the abrasive air and there porting will last longer? Does RE and OCP have some magic fairy dust they sprinkle in the ports to make them less effected by the abrasive air and last longer and that is why you recommended them?

To answer the question why RE had to report your head, key phrase "upgraded to +1 valves". Once you changed to +1's, trying to compare the two ports is like comparing apples to oranges.

And if you had a problem with the abrasive air wearing out your ports, and that is why your so excited about it lasting three races and your bike hasn't slowed down yet. There is a new invention that came out that is called an air filter. I'd suggest you look into getting one.

My question is this,if hawk/jazzdancer3/sdtrx450r & others think they're so smart & superior to every one else why are they even on this site? They should go on a book signing tour & make some $$ hopefully the moderators told them to chill out because they ruined a perfectly good thread...

honestly dude, they're smart guys but i think they get impatient or irritated easily. They've been around a long time and a lot of guys respect them and what they have to say. ****, i got input from all 3 of them the first time i built my motor a few years ago. i obviously dont have an answer as to what happened here, but i do think they deserve a small bit of respect based on how much they have given back to the forum. plus, sarcasm doesnt go as far on the ol interwebs lol it was weird to come out of a "forum retirement" for that comment though. Oh well, people have their reasons for everything. Back to the OP, go with OCP, tell him your current mods and goals, and he will take care of the rest!

While since my name was brought up, I can answer your question, at least for me personally. I'm on the site to get my edumacation and to see the stupid comments that get posted. And hopefully every once in a while someone says something in that 1 of million posts that connects the dots on something or says something that i didn't think about. Its amusing, some of the comments, not just through this thread, but through the whole site, some of the posts are so stupid, they cant even keep there stupidity straight from post to post.

They're always innocent as a new born baby. I'll leave a form in the attachment section and maybe you can fill it out and send it to the moderators and they'll do something about all us "internet wannabe ninjas" ruining "a perfectly good thread" (which of course had absolutely nothing to do you).
