Is the 450R valve cover made of Magnesium or aluminum?

I wanted to get the cover anodized, but if it is magnesium, I will have to explore other options.

Thanks!

Actually, I did some research. And I think I am going to have Keco Coatings here in Indy apply a coating called "Kephos". It is basically a Black Oxide coating, only much better, a lot of the Indy car Teams use it.

I wanted black, so I will call tomarrow and get a price!

Primary applications: industrial and performance racing ó frames, suspendions and magnesium wheels. Used extensively by teams competing in CART, NHRA, USAC and the Indy Racing League.

Keco Engineered Coatings

I thought it was mag, I just wanted to be sure it was the same as the side cover.

Thanks for all the help!

Take a look at http://www.hpcoatings.com/.

Why is it that slim and fat chance mean the same thing?

I posted in your other thread, but both of the inner cases as well as the left and right case covers are all aluminum.
