You sank my battleship on that one bud! It's funny you mention the grom,if those motors were enough cc's to cruise the freeways instead of just streets there would be one in my garage hahaaah.i actually love yamahas too & had bought this one all done up,that's why I also told you to keep yours because out of box wider/no jetting etc both legite for sure.i did just buy some supermoto wheels & tires for my street legal ktm 450exc should be some good fun!

I would take a grom in a hear beat if the price was right.
But back to the OP and his thread.
If the price was right, it's not a bad deal. So far it looks like basic maintenance things.
Which you should check buying any new bike.
But now, you get to make it yours.

It was the cheapest ER i could find at the time, seems I see gobs of 04-05s up for sale in the area but did not want kickstart. Wasn't planning on doing a full build but... more i dig into it the more fixing and swapping parts sooooo.... meh full rebuild haha

I think i'm making some decent progress so far with a little time here and there, would like to have it done by march so i can run both weekends up at Lake Havasu doing WORCS .... that may not happen so I will most Likely Just run the KTM . Have quit a bit of stuff to get, ordered A-Arms over the weekend so that's got an estimated 3 week wait for them to get done, still have to send the head off, get full exhaust, send shocks off to get rebuilt and get everything powder coated. New Axle and Plastics are last on my list. Want engine done first before i press forward with some of the other stuff.
