You really want to make it out of Metal my friend was going to make one out of wood and when we had everything drawn up and figured out the price of the wood and it was over 200$!

also i dont think i would trust, screw and nails to hold my and my quad... i think the best way to do it would be a steel frame with wood ramp on top.

If i was to build one they would have wheels on them, like the ones seen in huevos...they just leave it attaced to the truck.

You all are forgeting it just a wood shop project. He's not trying to build a pro freestyle ramp. Obviously metal would be the way to go, the proper material would be 2"x2" alluminum with a 1/4" thk wall, not steel, steel is real heavy.

the best place to find info on building wooden ramps would be skateboard or bmx site. The ramps are super strong. Just remeber to make the transition a lot mellower.

I built a wooden ramp 2 years ago it held up fine until this spring. I didnt paint it and the weather just got to it other than that it worked great. as far as the 200 bucks goes I would like to see some one build a metal one for 200 bucks. my bill on just a metal frame is over 400

it worked pretty good but the landing sucked a ss
