--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello all,
As a concerned member of trx450r.org I strongly feel it is in our best interest to NOT
patron Burgard Cycle when we have the high caliber site sponsors as we do.
On April-11 2005 I placed an order with Burgard Cycle for one of his quick change covers
for the amount of $350, I had bought a set of beadlock wheels from him in the past
and they were at my door in under a week.
But here is how this unfolds:

4/11/2005
Burgard: Hello, Good Morning Burgard Cylcle.... how can I help you.

MEAT: Good morning Izzy.... I would like to place an order.

Burgard: Ok sir, how can I help you ?

MEAT: I would like buy one of your quick change covers for an LT-Z400, do you have
them in stock ?

Burgard: Yes sir

MEAT: Ok, should I drive down and pick it up ??... I need it within a week.

Burgard: No sir

MEAT: If you are not sure, I can come pick it up !!

Burgard: No sir, I can ship it.

MEAT: Ok, here is my billing information.....

Burgard: Ok, thank you sir.

MEAT: Izzy, thank you and have a nice day.

Bargard: And you have nice day also sir.

4/19/2005
No package.

4/22/2005
No package by 1:00 pm EST so I called at 1:30 pm EST.

Burgard: Hello, Burgard Cycle.

MEAT: Mr. Burgard, this is Christopher from N.Y. and I'm calling to find out the status of an order.

Burgard: Christopher, up in N.Y. right ?..... sir, you should have received that already.
Let me check on that for you and I will call you back.

MEAT: Ok, you have my cell number and it's on 24/7.... you will let me know right ?

Burgard: Yes sir.

MEAT: Ok, I'll talk to you later today.

Burgard had Never called me back so I called him back at 5:15 pm EST and he
didn't answer his phone, so I left him a message to call me back with the tracking number.

4/23/2005
Called Burgard Cycle and left a message for him to call me back with the tracking number.

4/25/2005
Called Burgard and left a message for him to call me back with the tracking number.

4/26/2005
Called Burgard at 9:30 am EST and he answered his phone, I asked for the tracking
number and he told me to call him back in an hour when he will be in his office.
I called him back once an hour until 12:30 when I lost my patience with him and now
Izzy Burgard has until the end of business today 5:30 pm EST to return my call, if
not I will file a claim against Burgard Cycle.
Thank you

This could have all been taken care of if he had just done the right thing !!!

***UPDATE***
The package I'm waiting for from Burgard Cycle has not arrived, it's 5:30 pm EST and
the business day has now drawn to a close with not even as much as a phone call
from Burgard Cycle.
I now have a claim started against Burgard Cycle, if I do not receive my clutch cover by
5:30 pm EST April-27-2005 I will fax in my affidavit and follow through with my claim.
Thank you for reading this thread.

I've heard quite a few bad things about burgard from other people. Your better off going through c&d racing and getting burgard products from them. C&D is alot more responsible with orders and I've never had any problems with them. I might be buying burgard front beadlocks from them in the future.
trx_bryn
thanks for the life time story haha no jkjk. ya they suck.

Some people will swear by Izzy and some have been burned like you.
From what I hear, I think you will get your stuff, just after he gets done doing whatever it is he needs to do more than keep his word.
Good Luck.
Sorry.

This is correct. Unfortunately from my experience, a few non-returned phone calls and a few mis-informed ship dates seems to be the normal method of operation.

I feel for you bud. :(
MEAT4272
I would have no problem if he would have just called it as it was.... no matter what.
But i'm getting the feeling he is in over his head.... it's a real shame.

you could go through c&d, but you're not gonna find much help there either. My cuz ordered his wheels through them and they told him to call burgard and see what was up. I think c&d should of called. It turns out that c&d never ordered the wheels from burgard.

Not too long ago I ordered a bearing carrier through c&d. Usually I get stuff really fast from there as burgards place is only a few hours from here. well after a week and a half I asked if it was shipped out yet because I wasn't charged for anything. c&d said they didn't know because it gets shipped from burgard. well I could careless where it gets shipped from, If I'm doing business with c&d I feel it's their responsibility to find out if it's been shipped. Anyway, I asked them to find out if it's been shipped out yet or not. and if not to go ahead and cancel the order. Next day I get home from work and there's the package. Shipped next day air. The best part is... I never got charged for it. shhhhh.....

My advice is to just tell him to cancel the order if he can't get it to you in the time that you guys agreed on and I can almost garauntee that you'll have your package in. Good luck with your claim.

Hellbound Racing is a great place to get Burgard products from. They are much easier to deal with than trying to go through Burgard's.
MEAT4272
528, thank's for the link bud.
MEAT4272
I received my quick change clutch cover today... It was sent UPS- red label.

The shame is.... I think Burgard Cycle pruducts are some of the best you can buy,
but what good is that if you are not getting the parts you have bought.
If he can get his act together I would buy frim him again.

Its good to hear you got your stuff man! :)

yeh i was the one that had to wait a long time for my beadlocks. over three weeks. see the thing with burgard is that its a one man buis. he does all the machine work, the parts sales, shipping , etc. ive heard good and ive heard bad. it comes down to personal experience with him. persoanlly ide be careful if i bought from him again.

Personally I couldn't care less if it was a 1/2 a man business.

The guy will lie to you when it's easier to tell the truth.

In the end you'll get your parts - and they'll be decent parts - but the fact remains, if his mouth's moving, he's lying & don't expect your parts, or returned calls any time soon.

It never ceases to amaze me that he somehow thinks his current mode of operation works better than just being truthful with the person on the other end of the phone - most people are much more receptive to being told "your parts will take 4 weeks" and getting them in 3 than being told "your parts shipped today" and receiving them 2 months & 50 phone calls later.

Order at your own risk, or do business with someone who manages theirs a little better.

i realize old post, just wondering if anyone else has experience with them...debating on whether or not to get a steering stem from them or not

I got a steering stem from them about 4 months ago and he quoted me 1 week for delivery. It took 1 month and was missing a bushing which took another 2 weeks. when I installed it, the steering stops are not correct for stock arms and now if I turn my wheel all the way my rims rub against my arms on the back side. I honestly would not recommend them and would spend the money else where.

LOL, whoops!
30 Pack Abs
I purchased a set of Burgard A arms for my 06 through a buy it now on ebay. After the first week I emailed him to get a tracking number and was assured the package should be there any day. After the second week I emailed again and again was assured it should have already arrived, but he would look into it. After the third week I called and got no answer so I emailed again, and got no answer. After the fourth week I was still calling and emailing with no answer. Fifth week, same crap.
At the end of the sixth week, I sent a notice that I was going through PayPal to get my money back and reporting him to ebay, two days later I had my A arms, but I was still P.O.ed, so I sent him an email and said thanks jackass after all that waiting you sent the wrong friggin arms which he believed were YFZ arms which were selling for almost half again more. He started emailing me trying to get me to send the arms back for exchange and he would eat the postage, to this day I've let him sweat thinking he lost money lol.
Now for the real kick in the pants, ever since I installed those arms for flat track I noticed I could load the right front easy, did'nt even need the sway bar, and it took me until this winter during a tear down to figure out the A arms are not built with equal dimensions, the ball joint mounts don't have the same angle's and the right arm has a curve and twist in it.
So buyer beware.

I've bought from them, their quality stinks.
dyechainsaw
I have been waiting for a new stem clamp from him since the middle of December! Approching 3 months now. Safe to say that I'll never spend another penny there! thumbdown.gif
LumpyCamTRX
i cant believe all of these complaints i ordered a stem clamp from burgards web site paid for it last week on Friday morning got it sat free shipping never called them or anything i was very impressed with the fast shipping
556KingR
I have two experiences with them and they both were extremly slow. I would most definetly stay away from Burgard Cycle!
xc1993
what par t of ny are you from??
450Rider707
You guys from NY, you can just order from Hellbound, they have stuff to my door next day or two days at most, and that includes burgard products. Hellbound is only in PA and they will get you your stuff in a hurry!
RallySoob
I bought my A-arms for my 440ex from him along time ago. like 2002'ish. They work fine but as mentioned above the dimension were off. I spent so much time adjusting the joints trying to get the stance to match and it never would. The bike seem to ride ok but Im sure it wasnt at optimal performance like if I bought laegers, roll, houser, LSR or something like that. I also broke a ball joint and they got me a replacement within a week... So as far as customer service goes I have no complaints but I can say the quality control is absolutely non-existant. I assume if it is a 1 man show that he doesn't like admitting to his own mistakes, thus releasing mistakes to us to pay full retail for.

...avoid burgard, for the money it's just not worth the risk
Thrown Stones
After reading all of the negative feedback on Bugard, I was reluctant to order from them.
But I really wanted to try their bearing carrier. They have a protected external grease fitting,
no need to pull the carrier to grease it up. So I call and talk to Izzy to confirm availabilty.
He has them, and wants to take my information. I told him, I would like to order through
his ebay store (QuadParts). No problem he says, long story short I order on a Thursday
he sent me a tracking # on Friday. I received it on that next Monday. thumbup.gif He does
have a great ebay feedback. It worked well for me. smoke.gif
