We just got the Hotrods 04/05 450r Crank Main Bearing/seal kits in from a long backorder.
They have changed things up a bit.
The kit comes with both crank seals, and main bearings.
It also includes 2 different right hand crank seals, as well as a warning note: 1 seal is used if you have the old style OEM or Hotrods crank without the updated sleeve on the right side. Or you use the other seal if you have the new style OEM or Hotrods cranks (that have not yet come off of backorder).
It seems as though Hotrods is updating the cranks to match the OEM updates that have taken place.

so is there a definite known problem with thier crank bearings because i did a complete rebuid w/thier crank and bearing kit about a year ago.no problems so far just wondering if i should expect some. its a 04 450r btw.

problem... not necessarily...no more than honda.
from what im getting, honda updated their cranks to use some sort of collar on it that required a different size seal to work... the old hotrods bearing kit came with the 1 size seal only... the new kit is matched to work with either crank, the old or new style... and it comes with both seals, so you can use the correct one for your application.
