Well just doing a little winter rebuild on the bike, going to replace the axle bearings. Dont have enough $$ for a new RPM carrier so figured i would just replace the bearings for now. What would you recommend? My dealer wants almost 100 bux for new oem bearings and seals so idk what I should do.
OEM?
ALL BALLS?
Pivot Works?
Quad-Boss?
Moose?
I dont want to get a brand like pivot works and have them be some crappy china made bearings that are going to fall appart in 2 months.
ANY INPUT???

I have had a lonestar dual row axle carrier in my quad for almost two years. never had any problems with it. And it is stronger than the stock There are like five bearings instead of three if I recall correctly.

I have used the Pivit Works axle bearings on my 400ex & my 450R (still in both bikes). They work great,1/2 the cost of oem & come with all the seals

ive used pretty much every one of them
pivot works, all balls, houser billet dual roll bearings, house with tapered bearings and the best bearings out there are OEM
the OEM bearings lasted twice as long as all of them other than the dual roll bearings and they still lasted longer than they did
i switched back to a OEM carrier with OEM bearings and seals
also for aftermarket carriers they almost ALL use a soft steel spacer/sleeve between the bearings that squishes and creates tremendous side loads on the bearings causeing them to eat the bearings up
only the OEM and i think Baldwin carriers use hardened steel center spacer/sleeve to keep the bearings where they should be

All Balls are really good. Really cheap and include seals as well. They won't last quite as long as stock but damn close and for the price difference, I'd go All Balls.

I think Pivot Works and All Balls are basically the same. Regardless of what bearing you go with take a sharp pic and gently remove the seal of the bearing on one side and put a little more grease in the bearing then put the seal back in. You will be surprised how little grease there is in there to begin with.
