I purchased 8X7 Douglas rims the other day with the race cut centers and I swear there 8x8. My bill of sell even shows the rims as 8X7's I busted the old tape measure out and I am not measuring 7" anywhere? I thought I was getting a rim that was 8 inches tall and 7" wide. Thoughts?

I could have screwed up, I dont think so though.
The inner part of the wheel (where it seats the tire) is where the measurment is.
It will be close to 8" if you go from lip to lip.

I was measuring the wrong area of the rim you are right they do measure 7" They look really good and feel really light. I never understood fully how measurements are acheived. Thanks for your advice and we look forward to seeing you all in Idaho next year. Thanks again
