I just bought a 08 450r and have already snapped the pos grab bar right off. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how i can get a new one since the 08s grab bar holds up the exhaust. Or if it is possible to just fix it to where the exhaust isn't held up by the grab bar so i can build my own out of something better than thin aluminum. Thanks in advance

They are on ebay. I bent mine when I last put it in a toy hauler and had to stand it up on the rear. They're weak for sure. You could make your own, its been done before but I can't remember the thread or the member that built it but it looked good. If you're crafty and have materials then go for it and post up the results.

Just don't make it too beefy these things are made to break before your sub frame gets bent or broken and it doesn't take too much to do that. Check out the PRM grab bars they are top notch. The pro armor pro race one is nice to and kinda follows the curve of the seat which looks good.

So i've been looking and I think i might go with the prm desert grab bar. Been reading abou them and seem like it might be pretty tough. Anyone had problems with these?
Midwest Honda R's
The prm's are extremely stout I put one on my bike as soon as I got it and proceeded to crack and then snap rear subframe then unbolted it and put it on the replacement subframe with no issues. So if you do alot of wheelies be sure not to slam it hard or your frame will pay great product at good prices though

yeah i really like to do wheelies and thats what caused me to break my factory grab bar. i'm not one to try to do a wheelie as fast as i can i just like to keep it slow and see how slowly i can do one. So the prm seems like it should work great. Thanks everyone!

You'll like the prm they make great products. I haven't got their grab bar yet cause I have yet to bend or break my stock one but I do have a prm bumper and it's been great.
