I read somewhere that you are not supposed to use your stock Lug Nuts on after-market wheels? Is this true? Apparently, the tapered stock lugs damage the newer wheels, then you cannot take the wheels off the hubs.
I have ITP Baja wheels fastened by the stock lug nuts. Should I get new (flat) lugs for my quad?
Thanks

yes you need new flat ones. alot of the guys i know just turn there factory nuts over and install them with the taper facing out. seems kinda a cheap ass way of doing it to me.

some aftermarket wheels need the taper. i believe the c seris wheels do. the baja's dont, so like zax said, turn them over(taper out). when i do this, i also put washers under the nuts. it keeps the nuts from digging in to the wheel and marring up the holes.
