Full Version: Info on GBC X Rex
I've heard a lot of you guys say that the GBC X Rex is the cheaper better tire to go with. Is there any diff between them and the razr 2? such as height and width of the tire. On my last bike I bought some King Slashers that were supposed to be kind of like the razr and they said the same tire size but seemed to be a lil shorter and not as wide, and they were only 4-ply. I want a good all around tire for trail ridin, and racin. The x rex the way to go? stuck between them and the razr2s. thanks for the help
i can't really comment on the size comparison but i can tell you that i went from holeshot hds to the x-rex and they are by far a great tire... and cost me just under 300 bucks shipped for fronts and rears..
the only complaint i had with the tires is that the fronts came shipped to be like pancakes like they were on the bottom of the pile of tires...this getting air in them was impossible so i had to use the "ether" trick to get them to pop the beads... resulting in the hair loss on my right leg, but other that i give them 9.5 out of 10 the .5 becasue my leg will never be the same

ha i hear that i work in an automotive shop so the loss of hair happens quite to often. i don't think i'd regret them especially with the price compared to maxxis. just want to get everyones input. the razr2s seem to last forever. just don't wanna blow one out the first ride, which we usually ride rough terrain but they come in 6 ply right? what size you runnin?
and i see that you run some hrc stuff with a stage2 hotcam, the stage2 better than the hrc cam? thats another predicament i'm in. either to go with the hrc kit or piece one together. sorry so many questions noobie...lol

are the race rex tires more of an mx tire? guessin they run 18s?
