yes you need to use the 06 shock linkage and swing arm. you need all of these or it will not work

What about the rear brake line?

I suposse you'd have to mount a '06 lenght chain, but i don't know if the brake line is long enought.

I'm interested on this mod too.

brake line will work just fine not 100 percent on the chain i think they use the same overall leangh but i could be wrong

You will need a longer chain. 04/05 length is 94 links, 06 and newer is 96 links.

The 04-05 has a different rotor hub/carrier then the 06-up, not sure the difference? i do know the 04-05 rotor hub is $120 and the 06-up is $40??? anyone know??

The carrier seems to be the same for almost the '04-'08 models, ans i suppose that the '09 too:
