I'm plaining on doing couple ice races & advice on the setup would be nice. I currently have a TT setup.
I'll be running the AM class & they limit have a 100 stud limit. They provide the studs for you.
In the front I'm going to run my 19" Maxxis razr, not sure in the back. Im seeing allot people run 8" rim setup.
How many studs should I run in each tire?

I ran with ice last year in pro for 7 races. A friend ran am and won 3. he put 8 screus in the left front then divied the rest up.

I've got a sway bar & rear lowering link, I ran TT & SM the past few years.
I'm plaining on doing the Bakersfield & Fresno races, maybe the Ontario, ca.
What kind of rear tires seemed to work good? Heavy or lite tires?

If I do the Fresno race I might run pro. Going to run AM in Bakersfield, want to get a fell for it.
I've got a friend up north that is plaining on running pro at both races.
What rear tires do you recommend? My friend might hook me up with set of the hoosier MX tires. Going to run my 19" Maxxis up front.

hey man you may be disappointed when you get there. Trust me I went to three last year and 100 studs just was not enough. they do it more for show. People are all over the place with just 100 studs. It you do good at TT then you should do just fine with the pro. Also it's all about the whole shout.

Run Cheng Shin ice tires. They look like old school Turf's without the dimple. The knobs are real hard so they hold the screws in better. Good luck!
