So the other day i rode at a place that was real rocky and beat the hell out of my arms and hands, so i got the idea of a steering stabalizer.

Are they worth the money?

i have precision on most of my mx bikes and a elka 5 on the other and i like the precision the best , but if you can not afford the high end ones get like a streamline or denton well worth the $$$, less arm pump

i have the gibson stick kind and wow best thing i have ever bought. i wish i can afford the disk kind

What exactly does a steering stabilizer do?

it is a shock on the steering stem.. You hit that root or rock it wont yank the bars out of your hands.

Sounds good, but would it wouldn't help much in the dunes, would it?

it helps alot in the dunes. Especially when it is rough from lots of tire tracks.

i love my stabilizer, i went with the cheap CCP rotary type, lasts longer than sticks n i've had no problems what so ever with it...

i will never ride anything else without a stabilizer
