I hope this is an allowable topic and the right place to post this, if not I do apologize in advance.

I have a mechanic that seems decently priced and reliably good work. The problem is when I mention things like opening up the airbox or aftermarket exhaust I get the whole Honda designed it that way for a reason blah blah speech and I shouldn't change anything. I mentioned changing the AP squirt timing so it doesn't hit the slide and again I got the whole you shouldn't have to ever touch that speech.

I want to know if anyone can recommend a good, performance oriented mechanic in the Tampa Bay area (Clearwater / Largo / St Pete)? I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

sounds like you need a new wrench guy, or figure out how to work on it yourself. sorry i can't advise who to goto because i'm in colorado.

For sure! The problem is I can only work on it outside and I don't want to pull the valve cover off the check the valves just to have a big gust of wind blow a bunch of sand in the top of the motor. So unfortunately taking it to someone is the most convenient for me right now.
