Hello,
I just got a new honda TRX450er 2007 model and I wanted to know what the best upgrades for it would be. I am just a kid, so my budget is around $1000

Thanx,
Ryley

welcome to the org!!

the best bang for your buck would have to be the HRC kit that Honda offers as a upgrade. it will really really wake your bike up.

i can't remember off the top of my head how much they are going for but i thin it was around the $350 mark.

I would go with a good pipe(dasa, sparks, motoworks, hmf) stage 2 cam, hrc jet kit, green wire mod,uni filter should be a good start

+1

and if you get lucky you might be able to find a nice full exhaust used here on the org or on your local craigslist...

$1000 thats all? lol thats a good chunk especially since there are plenty good deal on parts

I would do some motor & suspension.

the 450r has like 20 different cams so whever you want more power pick one that suits. $60-$99

I would pick a full system that suits your fancy. $200-$500

HRC or different needle, & jet

the rest I would keep for +2 arms & shocks & stabilizer, plenty on here or ebay.

The question I would ask first is what are you going to do with it? Next I would ask what is your experiance level. And last I would ask what do you hope to accomplish with it.

I'm far from an expert but here are my opions for just the average rider 180lb + not hard core racing or dragging just good solid fun. When all is said and done to your motor I would put it on a dyno wiht an a/f meter to rejet/tune it to what you have done to the engine (not for how much hp you have, its nice to know but not the main reason to dyno it)

for sand
either an HRC kit or to maximize power and your going to want to do it later anyways you can skip the hrc kit and go with...

Depending on the area either a DASA (no sound restrictions) or a VENOM (for area that has strict sound restrictions) Full Exhaust system 500 bucks
HCS2 around 100 bucks
A new set of haulers size and # of paddles depends on where you are 400ish bucks
remove air box lid free
cut green wire on harness (find the article here to do so I'm not your secretary p.gif ) free
outerwears prefilter either the one that covers the lid (the one I use) or the one that goes on your filter. the K&N is nice but gives you little bang for the buck 50 bucks

Then when you can
Port and Polish
Extended swing arm +2 general
Suspension work to suite

for MX and XC
I don't realy know enough about it to make solid recomendations but minor tweaks like leaving the air box on for xc and more suspension work than motor work for both of these since mx and xc are more technical and less pure hp related sports.

If you trail ride and do some hill climbing and just like to have fun go get the hrc kit it has everything and will make your bike run alot better and also pick up the k&n power lid and air filter.....thats what i have on mine and it runs great and i am really happy with it....

HP may be fun but to be faster and ride longer when youre not just going in a straight line Id suggest getting the shocks redone and adding a stabilizer. That will have a lot bigger effect on your ridding unless you spend all your time at full throttle. Ask yourself honestly how often you feel the stop at the end of the throttle throw. Unless its a whole lot then Id say get the bike riding better.

X2 on this it would cost about $700 for new stuff. If you dont have this kinda cash then a HRC kit.

But this is your best start. ( Dasa, Sparks, Rossier )

Welcome~!
