Glamis dune season is about here. Got my beast out and cleaned and serviced her today. Lets see what everyone else will be duning on this season.

That looks like more of an MX bike than a duner!!! I like it! I just recently got me 05, i had a Z 400 before and duned like a champ, but it was built, aint been on a stock width quad in 2 years! so its goin to take some gettin used to! I like the graphics, ima walk into DFR and get the fresnos as well, but see if sam can make me a custom set to match the red a lil better, the white in the red version dont go with anything on my quad

Well here it is, pretty stock lol (for now) I rattled the hubs and beadlock rings satin black today FYI

and ran over to DFR and grabed one of these! First mod that i personally did!!!! hopefully i can ride her for the first time sunday at the track!

just to let you all no''' if you are running that little breather hose with that little vent on it,on the gas cap''like desertbound in the pic above. make sure you clean it very,very good''mine got dirt in it from moisture from the gas wetting the inside of it,and shut me down in the middle of the sand dunes.when i open'd the gascap to check on my ''full'' tank of gas,,the bike fired rite up an ran for a minute or so,then it died again,,then i pulled of that little vent and ran great all weekend. so now i use that carb cleaner in it from autozone.it drys and leaves no oil film or etc. its the little things like that,that can wreck the weekend.

Correct. That is nothing more than a ball/check valve. I use carb cleaner to blow it out and then compressed air.


And my definition of a duner is a lot different than most. I mx the dunes. I don't race the hill. Racing a hill is not suning. They just call the drag quads duners because they are not full drag. Most true duners you see will look like a mx quad with paddles. Shock valving is way different though. Different strokes for different folks.

i have never even seen the sand. you guys don't take it for granted when your out having fun! i will be thinking of you while i'm shovleing snow here.

You need to try the dunes!!!!! Nothing better then carving the bowls & catching air

i'm not even sure where the closest dunes are to colorado are

we have the sand dunes nat. park, but no dice for riding in them. foot traffic only.

walden park? no dunes. . .but it's all sand lol

i rode up in ontario on some sand dunes, more like 2 or 3 hills though, nothing like out there, i will be shoveling snow too in good ol PA!

im leaveing that friday at noon its my b-day weekend so i have to go that weekend should be there around 4 pm

Me and a friend will be heading out for new years. First time at dunes we will be coming from south florida.

first trip to glamis will be oct 24'' in time before will still be a ''little hottt'' out there. trust me''''' bikes +sand+heat=trouble''

We (Spartan Racing) will hopefully make the trip during Winter break.

I will be missing this rest of 2009 desert race/dune season because of having knee surgery soon.....:(

Aight we were figuring stuff out, my first trip will be at glamis 2 weeks from tonight, we will be leaving super early tues moring, 3 am roll in at 7, and be riding roun 830, ride all day wensday, and part thurs, and head home sometime at night thurday, going to be kinda quick but cant wait!!! i think its the 13-15th?

I rode for three days this weekend....through the mud and snow. I'm ready to put mine away for the year. You guys have it good....Take lots of pix.

went to glamis last weekend and it was the best. going back out there on hollowen i park any where i can get in lol hit me up if any one else will be there that weekend

just got back from gordons had a blast never ben to the dunes before when it was so dead and the weather kicked ass, tryin to make it for halloween as well
