My tank has a 1 inch crack right where the frame mount bolts on. The crack goes through the brass insert for the allen bolt. Can I fix this with some epoxy or maybe even plastic weld it?

a patch might hold for a while.... but I'd start shopping for another tank ASAP.

If it was a steel tank I'd have suggested JB weld... I once fixed a steel tank with JB weld 8 years ago and it still hasn't leaked.

Call Honda it is a safety issue hey should replace it. A friend of mine had the same thing happen they said it was a known problem on certain production runs.
