I just bought the HMF elliptical Sport Series slip-on for my 07 ER. I want to know if it would be worth it to buy the HMF head pipe too? or, just use the HRC header? What produces better overall power?

Use the hrc header its a great headpipe.

Go with the HRC headpipe. My brother has the setup of a HRC full exhaust and my cousin has a HRC headpipe with an HMF slip-on. Both work great and actually the HRC kit is stronger than my brothers setup of the full HMF along with a hot cam. Also more reliable and certified by Honda. My 450 is still stock as she is just a couple days old!
