for some reason my stock 07 450r is choking up when i give it full throttle.. people said its because my carb is not cleaned and i need to clean it... is there any other reasons why this is happening?

Have you changed anything with the intake or exhaust, like removing the lid or spark arrestor?

did this just start out of nowhere? maybe last time you got gas?

Mine did the same last night i put it in storage for a month while i was moving and last night got it out and it started right up and i drove out the drive way and went to hammer on it and it fell on its face the first 4 or 5 times then it stopped and ran like a charm. So i guess just sitting a month it had to blow some junk out the carbs.. JMO dunno what else would have made it do that.

if u did then u need to rejet is wat hes getting at. and it mite just be junk in the carb

kinda bring this back from the dead, but would just replacing the stock air filter with a K&N cause this? cuz mines does the same thing. and thats all ive done to it
kyledeitrch
possibly. nothing noticable though.(i would think) the k&n's get a little more air.

im wondering if rejetting it might fix it? cuz even just at idle if u full throttle it, but the time u get to about 1/4-3/8 throttle its trying to die, and ive noticed when riding if im coasting and then full throttle it, it chokes for a second before taking off

The FCR's have a bog just off idle. It's just the way they are. Simply changing to a K&N won't cause that much of a difference in air/fuel mixture, so I'm guessing it's just the notorious bog.

not to bash on you or talk back but, my FCR does not bog at all. you just have to throw in a dif leak jet and the problem goes away. but if his bike just started doing this out of nowhere we will know it's not the FCR bog.

i beleive mine has always done it, from the day i brought it home from the show room. i just never realy worried aobut if because i never rode it much. but now that my gfs got a quad and we go riding with her family alot, its getting VERY annoying. so its a common thing then?

i think the best bet would be to just buy the HRC jet kit and go with it. then you will be jetted properly and you will get the leak jet that is needed to solve most FCR bogs
