ok so ive got a slightly modded 08 450 and with ITP Sand stars front and back., with a 14T front sproket, fastest 300ft sand drag ive ran is a 5.87 with about a .002 light (nuts i know lol) how much do you think i would shave off by switching to a 12T front, and ITP Dune star rears? (and possibly fronts)

You need lighter wheels and hauler paddles.

ive got the stock 9x8 rears and ill got with the 10" ITP wheels. hypers are a little out of my price range right now

Hypers are not that much lighter or at all. look at douglas .125.

hmm alright ill look into those, but how is the 5.87 with a mild modded bike?

im not going for a full drag bike, i ride alot of MX but when i switch over to my dune setup i would like to run some awesome 300ft drags

Skat trak haulers 21*12*8 or 22*11*8 on douglas .125 blue lable rims, fronts aren't going to make much difference with what you already have... then get a hrc or hcII cam and you'll be truckin. I've tried gearing but first you need to get traction. I dropped the front a tooth and could kill out of the hole but I got passed on the top end of the run so I went back to stock gearing. I've only run the hrc kit. As far as your best time, there should be someone who can compare or give you advice. Sounds like you're running the piss out of it!

I run 21*12*8 haulers and my bro runs the 22's and there is hardly if any difference. I usually edge him with the smaller tire.

i have a stock 04 and a lite modded 04 and i'm 300lbs and run 6.5-6.2 on the stocker and 5.7-5.4 on my mod bike. the stocker has one mod a 13t front, mod bike has 13t with 21-22 inch 4 snows and haulers, has hc 2,pipe,hrc jet kit,lite head work and 2 inch swinger. them are some numbers to kick around, your bike is runnin good already it wont take much to make it a handful.

wow... well im not a expert when it comes to sand drags lol (now 1/4 mile OH YEA!) so i didnt know how good a mild 5.8 would be but im not really running the piss out of it. im timing the light perfectly and hittin the shift points, and moving my body weight towards the back
