so a good friend of mine found a track that just started a atv 1/8th mile drags class. he brought his 03 predator 500 and was able to turn a 10.000 second run. it is bracket style racing. the track is going to start running a full 1/4 mile soon. now my question to everybody is,have you ever ran in such a race and if so what kinda tires do you like. traction doesn't seem to be a issue with his, but i know my R is going to burn off the holeshots like none other. any advice would be helpfull.

Yeah i agree with ridinred. My buddies run in the 7.50s to 7.80s with pipes, stage 2 cams and green wire mod. My ole bike pulled a 6.43 on the bottle with a 10 shot and i also run Hoosiers for that type of stuff. Hope this helps you out.

I had no trouble hooking up with stock tires on a poorly preped track. I dont have much more than an HRC kit on my 450er.

you gotta remember we are talking about a 2003 polaris predator. the thing is running on 1970's technoligy. not to tale a shot at them or anything, but they have not made any big steps within the past 30 years

Calling your bluff... but is a 6.43 from the bike in your sig? I'd like to see that timeslip.
I don't know of a 450 based bike of any brand that could run close to that. Like i said not trying to step on any toes but put it up. Thanks

we gotta remember that i am talking about a 1/8 mile.........not 1/4
i know my 450r will know the sh!t out of his in just some dirt drags so i would think a 7.00 1/8 should not be too hard.
