Im just curious to know if the front sand tires are worth it? can you tell a difference between front knobbies to smoothies or mohawks? And if so what do you run up front on yours? Which ones do you recommend.

yes they make a diffrence. ive ridden both so i know. on knobbies or smoothies your front end takes longer to turn, youll turn but the bike will still push forward till the tires get grip and make the bike turn. with sand tires the bike turns wherever you turn your bars. i have the double rib ITP's and work well but sometimes to well.on hard packed sand you dont need sand tires so it makes the bike too twitchy, i would like to try some mohawks to see the diffrence.

I run on both..... my 450R has the twin ribbed ITP's and both of my 250R's are running the stock knobbies....
I cant say I notice ALL that much of a difference.... but I have run smoothies and they are not for me.... knobbies actually work quite well.... but toss up more sand than specific sand tires.... in all honesty.... if I had the right offset on my knobbies I would just run them.....but my knobbies/dirt tires are mounted on different wheels with different offset than my sand tires..... I like WIDE in the sand....

One of the best things I've put on my quad!!!! The stock knobbies wouldn't turn for shiat compared to my Kenda dunerunners. The knobbies would just push when I would try to turn going down a hill or anything like that which really sucks on the bottom of some of the hillshots around here and they threw sand all over me and the quad. Their cheap too like thirty some bucks a piece from rocky mountain.

Sounds like its a really good investment. Ive ridden just on my knobbies for a while and noticed the lack of turning and was wondering if that would fix it and it sounds like it will

ohh yeah. knobbies dont turn intul the sidewall digs into the sand vs a floating rib turning as soon as u want it too
