ok guys how hot does you guy's canister get once ridden? mine gets really really hot and has new packing...i know jetting may be an issue and i will look into those tomarrow but i ask because i have a new sticker coming and was wondering how much heat they can withhold before they melt..so let me know if you guy's canister gets super hot it may be normal i just never really felt any of my other exhausts...thanks.

I got one (brand new) when I got my 07.. it doens't get very hot..

It did start to burn the sticker off once and I pulled the packing and it was pretty bad at the end where the can meets the mid pipe.

when I saw your post the first thing I thought of was "needs to be repacked" however if it has fresh packing in it, I'm not really sure.

Was this a brand new can from RE or did you buy it used. the guy might have said he repacked it but did a bad job??

I wouldn't try to hold my hand on it but, all I can tell you is mine doesn't get hot enough to burn off the sticker till the packing starts to go.
