Just to give everyone a heads up. I found this stuff at the dollar tree called "Awesome". Its a multi purpose degreaser that works better than anything else I have ever tried. I found myself saying this is "Awesome" on multiple occasions. If you get a chance to swing buy a dollar store see if they have it.
It's a dollar well spent.

You might want to be careful with some of those dollar tree brands. Alot of them will tarnish aluminum and powdercoat. That's what I like about Simple Green. You could leave it on forever, and it won't effect the finish of anything.

wd-40.
Leaves a nice water barrier as an after effect. And makes metals nice and shiny not to mention plastics and does not were of near as fast as the plastics polishes.

I WD-40 my motor and the swinger pivot area after every wash, It also makes it alot easier
to get the muck off when cleaning the next time.

Just make sure awsome isnt butyl, if it is dont use it on anything polished or chromed or it will ruin it. wd 40 is a water displacer so it works great for keeping your motor clean. I use non butyl degreaser that I sell and tire foam on the tires and plastic. I have heard of alot of guys using wd on red or blue plastic to make it shine. The good thing about wd is it doesnt atract dirt as bad as some other products.

Mix it 50/50 with water, Solves the oxidation problem..... or spray on rinse off works as well

Purple Dragon is the best degreaser Ive seen. It is strong though, and you have to be careful with it. Using it with a hot water pressure washer will definitely make an engine and swingarm look new again. Its not a bike wash though...
As far as a bike wash goes, S100 is the best (or HondaBrite, same stuff), but its expensive as hell. I use Simple Green due to cleaning ability, safe for your plastic, skin, and eyes. It also quite cheap when you buy it in the gallon size at Home depot for $9 and mix it 4:1 making 4 gallons.

I tried purple power and to me it sucks..Wouldnt bring off the grease on my sprockets or swingarm but when you put on spray power and let6 it sit and pressure wash off it brings it clean as new..

i use tire wet on my plastics. makes them shiny and doesnt seem to attract dirt.
