My friend has a kfx 400 and i was wondering like the 450r does the kfx work better if you take the baffle out? is it bad for the quad?

im sure it might... it may need to be rejetted though....

i would through a duncan racing full exhaust on it... we have on our dvx400 and it works GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! has good sound and performs VERY STRONG !!!

Motor by Suzuki -- pull the air box lid, pull the baffle, and rejet and you'll wake it up.
Throw a set of hot cams in it and an fcr carb and it will be a beast, add a 434 kit and it will run with any moderately built 450 out there.

x2 on the 434 kit... i looked into the cylinder works 434 kit for our dvx and it looks like its gonna be next step with it lol... and it isnt an exteremely expensive upgrade

Yeah we did it to my son's Z 400 and it was competitive on the flat track till we left it and now for MX and XC it's a beast. It will run with my R all day long and with the trail gears in the tranny, it will pull a 15/33 sprocket combo. And trust me if you havent already, get an FCR carb when you go big bore, it'll be worth it.
