I used a utility knife on mine. I then dragged the blade across the edges to smooth them up a bit. Took all of 5 minutes. I see others take a lot more time and really lay theirs out. The 450R were the easiest ones I've done, since the line is already laid out in the molding. Some times I've used tape to make my lines then tried to follow that. You can also use a little heat from a torch after to smooth the edges off and give it a shine.

I taped mine off with electrical tape (its easy to curve)
then cut fenders with an air powered cut-off wheel, I need to wave a heat gun over the edges to "shine" them

We used masking tape and a good eye for the lines, and a jig saw on a buddies LTR. Worked good but the plastic would melt back together a little behind the blade. But run a knife behind ya to seperate it and clean up the edges. finished look really good

i used the electrical tape to get them lined out and matched up, cut with sawzall, shaped with sanding disk on grinder, and then smoothed and buffed with 800grit sand paper and a heat gun.
they look like they came stock like that

I need to do my TRX450 front fenders too. When I did them on my 440EX I made templates out of paper and taped them to each fender using electric tape. Then I cut the lines using a hack saw. After that I sanded them down to make them nice even and smooth using a hand held belt sander with super fine sand paper. Took about 25-35 minutes to do both sides.

I used a dremel to cut mine. I had lined it out using masking tape and just eyeballed it making them the same. I then sanded them down and used a heat gun to finish it off. I think It turned out great.

You'd be amazed how easy it is to cut the plastic with a utility knife. then use a little sand paper to get everything to look straight and follow it up with the heat gun.
