What is the difference between just cutting the wire, or buying that hrc box I hear about. Does it do the same thing basically or is there an

advantage to the box. And what is the toggle switch all about? Can you do the green wire mod and still do the rev box or is that the same

thing. I am kinda 450r literate but not very techy. Thanks in advance for any replies....

There is truly no difference in cutting the wire or buying the HRC subharness. All the subhahrness does is plug inline to the CDI box eliminating the green wire. I chose to buy the subharness only because of resale purposes down the road ($25 on Ebay).

As for the toggle, people use to essentially turn the green wire mod off and on. I personally don't see that practical function of it.

agree with shogun, dont see any reason to put a toggle in. the difference is noticeable, but not huge. i cant think of any riding situation were i would "turn it off"

i also did the subharness. i got mine from service honda for $10. sorry shogun!

remember, this is '06+ bikes only. earlier bikes do not have this.
