Okay the scoop is I have an 07er and had the dead spot pretty much removed until today. As for jetting I'm at 162 on the main, stock pilot jet 2 rounds out, 55 leak jet and have the HRC needle on the 5th clip (from top). I have installed an 02 CRF cam, removed the box lid and have the stock intake setup. It was running fine until today when I put on a HRC headpipe with an HMF Ironman Slipon. The exhaust sounds just like I wanted it to low, deep beefy tone until you hit the throttle and it wakes up. The only problem is now I have off idle stumble to the point that if I hold the throttle down it will just die out. I have to ease into it and don't know what kind of corrections I need to make to get it fixed. Some thoughts I having are maybe a larger pilot jet. Possibly go out on the screw or pick up on the needle. I just don't think the needle would fix anything off idle. Im going to put on a velocity intake and also need to know what direction or recommendations you guys have for that. Don't think the 162 will be enough.

I would go to a #45 pilot jet, and move your needle up a notch or 2. Going bigger on your pilot jet should help get rid of that bog that you have. it was probably fine until you put the headpipe on it and that opened it up enough to lean it out in the lower rpm range causing it to stumble.

Up the pilot to a 45, and maybe try a 165

Actually the needle will affect off idle. I think you need to lower the needle a clip or two. With your mods and that needle, there's no need for it to be set that rich IMO.

I went with Honda's recommended jet setting on my main (162) because I have pretty much all the components of the HRC kit and don't run with an air box lid. I've also got a slip on as opposed to the baffle insert for the stock can that might even require a little more fuel. I'm willing to try anything now tho because I'm tired of the stumble. The thing is that I had no hesitation before I put on the HRC header and Ironman slip on. I'm leaning more toward being a little lean on the bottom end and don't know if the larger pilot would help me more or if my needle needs to be picked up or maybe even both. I have a velocity intake that I'm going to install tomorrow so IDK what size main I'm going to need after that.
