yes
miller450r
what total hunk of crap, please remove it from the dyno section _specialED.gif

nahh, thanks for sharing jeff!

I like the low end power and i know its fun to ride...

IT SEEMS TO BE A DYNO DAY , I WISH I HAD A NEW ONE TO SHOW cry.gif
want2bfast
Sweet. Nice torque.
Speedbump
looks good to me. Maybe a little down on both sides but IIRC Amirs dyno read like that on mine too.
hawk-trx
looks like you get a slight lean cond. @6000 and a little worse @8300. pretty normal for the 04 fci.

also looks like either the cam or your porting is letting you down a little for over rev. all in all looks like a fun build.

great tq
Kip
Great numbers! I like the look of that curve!

sandrat57
from what I saw this weekend through the roost he was throwing, it runs pretty dang good.
very_fast_450
QS- you should be real pleased with your build. Good job- enjoy! Thanks for sharing.

hawk- your insight nails a bulls-eye... from 7500 - 9000 I see what you mean.... ;).gif

QUIKSHRK
i am really happy with how it runs. there were however a couple of RE raptors that i couldnt get around.

no problems with any 450's though.

any suggestions on cams. i like the x1 but want to try others.
blackdrag450r
try a web 208 or bigger
scrapper450r
big johnson. cam that is.

jeff... you know who to ask about cams running the set up that you have.

QUIKSHRK
i do... ill send him a pm and see what he thinks
very_fast_450
a bigger cam is not always better.... big lift, low overlap is my preference in these engines...... ;).gif
QUIKSHRK
chad,

ill do some spec comparisons.
RageBuilt
You would think with a 501 you should at least be in the 60 hp range, and a lot closer to the 40 tq range.

I would change the cam, and fiddle with it more. Maybe get some port work done.

this isnt the highest reading dyno.
RageBuilt
All dyno's are stingy on the net, come on now. You should know that.
want2bfast
I hit the same dyno and made just short of 57. but it smokes my other 57hp build on a different dyno.
QUIKSHRK
i was hoping to hit 60/40. say what you want about all dynos being stingy, but others here on the forum know how it runs.

btw, it does have port work done. i did it myself, and im quite pleased with the way it runs.
Kip
This bike runs great.

This Dyno is low, and it would make at least 60/40 on most dynos.

Shoot, i even know a few dynos it would make 70/50 on lol.

you've got to be kidding.....
Kip
That was a joke referrring to some dynos. Mine made 67/42 on a local Dynomite, and 53/33 on a dynojet the next day.

Its kinda an inside joke about this particular dynomite dyno. I was not serious.

hey buck,

when someone puts an LOL at the end of something, it usually hints at the sarcasm thumbsup.gif

i'm stealing this for right now!!!
how much would a 490 BB make with my mods as they are now but at 12.5:1 comp approximately please........oh and a lock out too lol cus they add ALOT!!!!!
QUIKSHRK
do you have any port work done and by who? what cam are you running?

there is no way to accurtely guess hp.

these things will make it read widely different.
who's dyno
who's porting
valve size
level of porting
carb size and type
cdi
weather
chain condition
brake rotor strightness
axle bearing condition
piston/cylinder clearence
quench height
rod bearing condition
tranny cond
dyno tires
fuel
exhaust (no way to know how it will do with your porting)
cam (again how it works with your porting and the esr exhaust)
where the cam is degreed/worn cam chain
valve seat cond
valve type
intake/filter/manifold port matching
piston design
is it jetted perfect?

and even with all that information i have seen the same parts make 3hp difference on the same dyno on the same weekend
blackdrag450r
do they even make a 490 for the 06+ motors??
want2bfast
RE makes them.

I think its a 488 but they call it a 490
blackdrag450r

100mm sleeved stock jug comes out to like 488.9 on 06^ i think. so i call it a 490 but i like the sound of 488r more.
