that is a good time... Are you racing on dirt or sand? I know BBR ran pretty constant 4.8 on his stock bore and stroke 04 450r... he ported the head himself and I beleive it had a stage 2 hot cam... with an OOF drag pipe and I have no idea what size carb..... this was on sand.

Thats great Chris and everyone says newtown puts down slow times. You need to take your build to Planet Sane race next year and show them the little Stock bore / Stock stroke that could! thumbup.gif

I weigh 165, bike is only about 20lbs less than stock. My girlfriend timed me all over between mid 4-5 flat. Dirt and pavement were the same. Dirt was harder to keep in control consistently....

looks like the new setup helped ya out chris! congrats! we have left the honda world for now to play with the big block ds'. Travis fultons stock bore ds is running between 4.60 - 4.65 @ BRSD which is consistant with planet sand. you should be able to get your 60ft times down and get a little deeper yet!

Congrats on your times they sound great I would like to see it with some port work Jim
KBR

My hill set up consists of:
OEM frame honda with no wheelie bar and 12 paddle gliders with shocks, about a 240 pound bike with a 215 pound rider
It runs 4.7's with a 1.7 60' at just over 60 mph at the Delta UT sand / dirt track. Its at 5000 feet elevation.
My KTM set up very similar will run 4.8's at 60 as well.
Best for a 450 based bike out here is our 4.7's.

thanks, would like some RE love in the motor but it is running hard right now and hate to change this motor, need another motor to get built, head work would definatly help, still need to lose some weight on the bike

5.1 1.77 60ft 59.8 mph stock motor ds650 naturally aspirated, 360lbs with wheelie bar.

before that i only had it at the track one time. that day it did 5.20 with nitrous gearing and tire on motor and ran 4.8s on a 15 boondocker shot. never had it back at the track on the spray.

spring time will hold different........760cc pami with all the goodies.
