I just rebuilt my 06 with a new chrome moly Lone Star Racing frame. They built this frame out of thicker material for me, it weighs 4lbs more than a standard race frame and 10 lbs more than a stock non gussetted frame. Full details and more pics of the build are on my website: www.kendallrace.com
Details on cutting the skidplate for the teixeira linkage are on the site. So far I haven't ridden the quad on any hard trails since I was just breaking the DFR engine in this weekend but so far I really like the new rear setup. Thanks to LSR for the great work on the custom frame, DFR on the engine, and Jim at motowoz on the shocks. Dave at JD Performance has been very helpful too.

First hard ride will be pre running the baja 500 in 2 weeks.

Its a bad ass bike man! I wish my bike looked as go as yours!!!

How does your motowoz shocks handle the small choppy washes?

Do you get you nets caught in bushes at all?

How bout some engine specs!

George thanks for the compliments. All the engine specs are on my webpage along with writeups about all the races, etc. The engine is built by Dirt Fiend Racing in Mesa, AZ. I wanted something very reliable and decently powerful since I am 210lbs. So Rudy set me up with a 13:1 piston, Dasa ported head, web 208 cam, and dasa exhaust. Never had it on a dyno.

I have never had any problems with the nerfbars catching anything.

I really, really like the motowoz shocks. Jim has been working with me for a while on my setup and i think we have it dialed in pretty good. My quad is like a big desert cadillac, it soaks up the choppy stuff and the big hits.

Thanks,
Trent

Here is an update on my build. The ed teixeira linkage with the custom motowoz shock is really fantastic. I am extremely pleased with the purchase, the rear end doesn't buck at all anymore and it soaks up even the biggest hits without bottoming out or feeling harsh. I have won 3 of the 4 long distance races I have entered this year and I am 2nd in the senior pro points for the season.

My LSR frame is holding strong however I have broken 2 swing arm pivot bolts over the course of about 25 hours. My friend keeps crashing my 05 practice quad and I keep ordering more and more stuff from Bobby at LSR and all of those parts are holding up great and the guys there are great.

The DFR engine is great, during top speed, elevation testing I had the highest top speed out of all my friends.

My JD performance arms have almost 2 full seasons of abuse on them now and my fasst bars have seen over 3 seasons of abuse and riding.

There a lot of race photos from this season here:
