I was trying to tighten my 05 450r chain. I took the 4 pinch bolts out and cant get the carrier to move frontwards or backwards. Any ideas? I tapped on it with a 3 lb sledge and to no avail
Stick a longer screwdriver or extension through the sprocket, and roll the bike back and forth.
You can also pick up the rear end and it will make it easier to turn.

If you haven't been, use a torque wrench when you tighten the bolts and it'll likely never get stuck again.

bad bearings can make it hard to turn, if the 4 allen bolts are loose and your hitting it with a 3 pound hammer and its not moving then something is up
