Ok im new to the site still trying to figgure everything out...anyways im installing a turbo on my 05 450 and just wanting some pointers or tips...right now its a stock motor other than vaulve springs and port work...i already have the turbo mounted back where the air box used to be and just needing some hints on running hoses and all...and if anyone has any suggestions on maybe boring it over or anything else that works well with running a turbo let me know... thanks...

um no real suggestions man, perhaps a flat slide FCR or lectron carb, its not anywhere near impossible so id love to see it done. Make sure you use good quality piping and measure twice to cut once. Turbo builds can get expensive.

What turbo are you using, what are you doing for fuel and ignition systems?

My setup is a gt12 turbo rear mount non intercooled low compression with a blow through fcr carb and it runs really well. I also just finished a turbo yfz done in the same manner as my honda and rode it on saturday on 10psi didnt run too shabby.

Awsome thanks for the help....you seem to have some experience with this anything else you can tell me would be great....im lookin to build a pretty quick quad i mean your never going to be the fastest but to be one of the fastest is a pretty nice deal....what am i looking to get out of this turbo? and what other mods as far as bore kits and other things can i look into? not wanting to just start droping tons of money into it but will listen to any suggestions?

A forged low compression piston is a must have and also a fuel system that is boost referenced and an adjustable ignition . What boost levels are you going to run and what kind of power are you expecting?

My 470 is a stock bore with a hot rods +3 crank and in comparison to my nitrous 520 with a 26 shot, which ran pretty well, my turbo build would smoke its ass!!
