Welcome to the ORG!
What all do you have done to your bike so far?
Work on cardio, ride bikes. Endurance helps alot!

Practice practice practice... then when you cant go anymore... go practice again...
You will soon find out how tiring it actually is... Racing a buddy around a track is not the same...

i run 3 miles every other day and on the days i dont run i do p90x.
practice is key though because i have been exercising for a long time and still get tired while racing, ive found that no matter how hard you work out you can never work out all the muscles that you use while riding or racing.
get out to the track as much as you can.
and as for what mxhead686 said is very true!! BREATH!!!
and even when you have done 6 or 7 laps and are really tired just stay on the track and work on corners but dont jump, thats what i do and go for about 20 laps
