Hey guys is anybody else gonna be at BET this weekend for the TT race

im bringing beer, ill be on the hill side watching and in the pits......

last time I was there i swear the C class was faster than the B

is that when there was like 15 of us in it, that was my favorite race i agree there was some fast guys in that group i got 5th in that one

it might have been, ive raced 13 times in my life the last 3 years, and i took my only dnf in the main that night, as i stalled it on the starting line and it just died, and i couldnt get it going again until everyone was on the last lap...it was pathetic lol it was raining on and off and humid that night, like wet air....

We were going to go, but the Lucas Oil race in Versailles got rescheduled for saturday night so we have to go there.

Haha, so how did it go? We were just about to head there if the Versailles race got rained out. We had directions to both tracks, and had to make a decision at Columbia. The rain held off though so we went to Versailles.

Did BET have a good turnout? Who won the pro classes?

It went good i guess it could have turned out better for me, just ask Jeff lol. I couldn't get a good start at all the whole day, no matter what i did i couldnt get it to go, and last year i usually got the holeshot almost everytime. I also need to change my gearin a bit they were killin me on the straight stretch. In my 4 Stroke class i got 3. But in the Open C class i won my heat but when it came to the main it started to go down hill. for the first couple of laps i was on the raptors ass the whole time, then we got a red flag then when we got the restart, me and him pulled out and i knew that he was weak in the righthander and he always took the inside line, so i figured that i would go for the kill so i came into the turn flyin and then all the sudden he checked up and went into my lane and BOOM we got hooked together. It tooks us prolly a good 10mins to get unhooked. my front tire was between his rear tire and nerf bars. Then on the restart i started right behind Jeff but couldnt see the go light so i had to go off his start so then i battled back to 4 or 5 im not sure, but i dont know if they put us a lap down or not so i could have got last for all i know. But my bike was over heating on the last lap so i need to wire my fan to a switch.

I really dont know to much on who won the pro's race i was gettin ready in the pits so i didnt catch to much of the main races. It looked like there was a ok turnout. A few more than nomal.

Justin how did you do this weekend.

Well that sucks you got tangled up, but atleast nothing major broke. Also, if you are having an overheating issue during a race, I think you have more problems than just your fan. Most people including myself dont even have a fan on the machine.

Jeff its good to see that you raced. Call me and give me the details.

I did alright considering I have a messed up ankle. I am on crutches, and could not put any weight on it at all on the quad. The table top jump is where I lost all my time because I had to roll it. I didnt get last in the Pro class. Couldn't tell you what place I got though. In the pro lites I was 4th or 5th I think until my exhaust broke off. Oh well. It seemed like they had a better turnout that the last race. There werent as many in the pro classes, but the pits sure seemed packed.

It was nice meeting you, I dont remember much about where we placed. But I did horrible as usual. You ride well and I hope to race again with you. I think I was fastest in practice when the track was moist , i was totally hooked up and pulling well. In the heat and main my quad was beating me to death and I had too much pressure in the rear tires, no traction with those old hoosier tri tracs.... When you and the rappy tied up I thought it was going to be a gift and I was running 5th, and that would have put me in 3rd But when they lined us back up they screwed me over bad., you saw they dropped me to seventh and thats why I was arguing with the track guy and shaking my head when you finally came back around after the melee. My friend James was there and totally backed me up after the race. He told me I should have got off the quad and argued more. It was insulting and silly really for them to put that DVX with knobbies and no swaybar in front of me...I dont understand that at all, they were blind. Our 6 lap main turned into like 10 laps it seemed. I could not lift my left arm after the race I was so pumped. I have not ridden at that pace for a long long time. I was kinda ticked pulling out of there. That dude on the DVX was hilarious, he did a 360 and then high sided and flew off his quad ater the 2nd damn restart. He was over his head every lap..lol Yeah on that 3rd single file restart after they lined us in order, I tried to holeshot everyone from back there on the inside lane and I think you probalby saw them shut the door on me hard, it did not work. That inside lane on the start is the sucker lane no doubt, but i tried it three times. Oh well just another race where I learned a bit more about that track. That race had more quad wrecks than the whole night combined it seemed, or as many! Thats what I hate...

there could be something wrong, but im sure that the 3 starts didnt help it out to much and between the first and second start i had it runnin for 5 mins just sittin there cuz they didnt tell us that the guy was still sittin on the track, but i dont know. That was the first time it has over heated on me to


Jeff i was gonna take that inside line with ya, i started to go with you then i saw the raptor fly past me on the high side i flew up there and follow in his wake, i got a little scared with that though, when we came into the first turn i was in the middle of all the people and the pocket i was in was disappearing fast. then when we got to the right hander somebody else check up on me again and they almost got a little piece of a tangle with me. i agree with ya i saw you cruzing in like third then when i pulled back up you were in last i dont know what they were doing there. Oh well nothin that can be done now

Seitz and Rose were perhaps the fastest there all night that I saw, and im pretty sure they took the A's

I think Dedmond, "Mad Mike" as we call him and yourself are going to have some good battles in C. Better watch it, he is not afraid to stick his quad anywhere, and Im sure you know that already! He is a nice guy though, don't hesitate to go and talk to him some time, hes the Zuke that had the tire come off in his heat, that really hurt him bad in the main.. good luck bro

yeah come on down it was awesome, quads and body parts flying everywhere, I think i had a nightmare about it last night

Oh that's great I will probably be in the C class. I just wont tell my wife any of this then. lol Might just run in the B class got 8th place at Quincy last year and that was with a bad start.

Trent Powell and Nathan Wolfe didnt show up? I heard that is where they were going.

it really not that bad, just keep and eye out for some of the people, and hope that a guy doesnt check up on you at the last second when your going in for a pass

Nathan (Miami as we call him) was there but he wasnt riding his 71 white bike he rode his super fast red 19 hon if im correct, im pretty sure he won one of the classes he was in. I didn't see Trent there though, I wanted to see him and talk to him,

well justin i gave you some crappy info, nathan wasnt the one runnin #19 but i know i saw him and his bike there. i checked our district site and he must have not raced at all cuz he wasnt on the results anywhere,

Not sure what class that was...he probably fast like Nathan also. Nathan was there, I said hi to him but I did not ever see him in riding gear..

We are headed up to Fairfield, IA unless that gets rained out, then Belleville will be the backup plan.

Jason i havent had electricity since last friday, doubt ill make it.. my town was hit by an inland hurricane, Friday at noon will be 7 days without electricity, I finally got back into my work office this morning...

I normally dont get there until 3:30 or 4:00. It opens that early for the little kids they start at like 11 and go to about 5. At 5:00 is racers meeting for us and then practice starts after that

The race got canceled today.

Thanks man I been calling all morning and it has been busy. I finally got ahold of the guy that runs the track and he said it is going to be re scheduled for July sometime. They have to get in touch with an ama official to move the date on sanctioned races.

Oh I am 99 sure I am going and I AM RUNNING THE B CLASS this time for kicks.....

I have different front suspension set up for tt instead of MX and a revalved and resprung rear set up for TT from maultech and I cant wait!! I been doing 12 ounce curls every night to get ready!

Due to family commitments and my best friend coming back into town from Iowa this will be the last chance I get to race for a while.


if you checked out the lap times from the Ava National race, the C class smoked the B class on lap times, did you see that?

Im just hoping fro less wrecks than the last fiasco, dont really care if I run the back of the pack.

As you can see here i have some custom made fronts, i think tcs, and in this photo i was playing with the swaybar, loading one side a bit more than the other, but i have it back neutral now. What do you think? does it look ok? (they were very cheap)

And I need to powdercoat these arms bad lol not too mention finish grooving these tires. And i want to mount the rezzies in a better spot with better mounts.

EDT Race this weekend in Franklin, PA
11th of July there an EDT race in Danville, VA

wonder why they schedule them on top of National dates???????

hmm yeah that is something, but for most racers around here on a budget that Franklin PA race is a HAUL , way too far for me.

It sucks that BET schedules their races the same days as EDT, i want to try to hit some up when there in MO or IL but i cant since i got district racing. Jeff your shocks look pretty good to me, U sure u want to run the B class i know you want to do the C class again with us.

no your good its only a plywood wall, its not bad trust me I've been through it before

BET takes good care of their track in my opinion and I have always been happy with it, There is always good racing going on
