Dark Rider #53
Well guys. '08 was a tough year on the pocket book that landed me with a 100% new race ready 05 R. And it as tough when gas prices spiked to astronomical heights.

My '09 Bike(s) are coming along nicely. The changes (updates) for '09 are:

-Dasa big core exhaust
-Dasa/JE 14:1 Race piston
-New powder coating on everything (compliments of Hard 1 Enterprises "H1E")
-Torn between ITP and Kenda tires this year
-Re build Stauffer Motors Race Head and a Gass RX Practice head in the works
-Misc. stuff throughout like chain slides and what not.

Here's some photo updates:

The name of the red is Sparkle Red. Jim @ Hard 1 Enterprises hooked me up phat this year with these colors. Much better then the typical gloss red. Because it actually shifts colors in the sunlight from red to almost orange, bringing a really sick bling factor! The pictures really don't do it justice.

Always run Fox Floats man. I don't care if axis sponsored me fill ride I would still buy floats. Best shock out today bar none.

Ill have white and red in my arsenal this season. Might get some black if I can get it cheep.

I used a high impact 1/2 polyethylene plastic. It's what my dad uses in all his gravel trains and asphalt flow boys. So I figured if it can stand the wear and tear of 8 loads of gravel a day at 50 tons a piece 350 days a year sliding on them for 2-4 years it might do the job.

I might be making up 10-12 extras after I refine the design to sell. Along with my aluminum rotor rock guards. I figure tags selling em at 170 a piece I could make em and sell em whole sale for less. I'll keep the forums updated on what I do. If i get some interested I'll start selling em.

Bingo. HQ is where I found him. Not sure how good his work is yet. But every Joe Blow thinks they can port a head like the pros. So I'm not holding my breath. I'm anxious to see what he can do and I'll let you guys know if its quality for sure. But now for the UPDATE!!

I started this monster up tonight. It runs sooooo clean and feels like a bomb went off when you stab the go lever, plus the Dasa is simply amazing sounding, So Crisp .

Stauffer found a bit more flow in my head on the bench and did some "secret stuff" as he calls it and says that it should put a bigger smile on my face this year then last.....ANd by the sounds of It in my shop.....I Agree already. I Also picked up a SPAL Radiator fan off of ebay for this sucker. And HOLY CRAP these things move some volume!!!! It's like having a clutch fan off of a semi on my radiator! It came with a aluminum shroud and a connector but not the right one so needed some jerry rigging.

I hope to get some updated pics and a sound clip but I ran out of my apt so fast to pick the head up and forgot my camera bag. Hope to have it finished Saturday aft. with a full photo set for you guys to drool at.

Got her done. Was waiting on some graphics and a bumper. Didn't stop me from riding her though.

Dark Rider #53
Here she is all finished with all the final parts.

And the new SPAL radiator fan. If anyone is thinking about getting one do it. I bought this one on ebay. It came complete with a shroud made for a 450r radiator. Just needed to splice in to the harness. Moves probably 200% more air volume then the stock one.
Stock450r
I like how you did the stock color frame with the flakes in it. Thats sick, never seen that before.
Would be good for a fully rebuilt Duner/dragger Sleeper thumbsup.gif
looks real good
