Hey I have a 2005 450 and I am very interested in gettign a engine build through sparks. Just wondering if anybody has any self experience with them. also looking towards baldwin. Relly looking towards sparks though just want some input and even some dyno charts thanks.

-also want to know if the big valves would be an advantage with the 43mm carb or just stick with the stock valve size??

what Im looking at getting:
-Sparks complete ported head (big valve)
-Sparks mx cam
-Sparks Racing 13.5:1 National Piston Kit by JE Pistons
-Sparks fcr 43mm carb
-Sparks Racing Lightweight Exhaust Rocker Arm
-Sparks Racing CDI by Dynatek
-Lightweight Flywheel (-4oz)
-Sparks Racing Ignition Coil Kit by Dynatek
-Full X-6 Racing exhaust system (non-big core)
-Sparks Racing Heavy Duty Clutch kit

looking for some advice to as if this should be a good build or a bust

I can almost guarantee you that it will run great, especially for MX. But its also going to cost a sh!tload. Sparks stuff is always pretty pricey. Id def go with the +1 exh valves.

ya im not to worried about the money I think of got a lot of input the the big valves are definatley the way to go but I still dont know for a cam is i am going to get the sparks mx, HRC stg 3,
hotcam stg2??
trx500r
the sparks mx cam is the 02crf cam save yourself a few hundred and buy the honda cam, sparks built bikes run very good and you will be happy with the performance, but i would look into dasa or racers edge and compare what each can do for you

If this is for a MX Bike id get the sparks cam. Or the 02 crf. Maybe even the stage 2 hc as that cam had tons of low-mid power in my bike. If its for draging mainly then get the stage 3 or a older style HRC cam.
