I am new to the atv world and need a little help. I use to work in a shop several years ago and locally raced dirt bikes. That was when everything seemed a lot easier. I have a 07 450r that i put a velocity air system on. all it consist of is a straight tube from carb to k&n filter without airbox. I rejetted and started with the HRC kit, with the adjustable needle. HRC suggest clip on 5 slot from top. Also, I put a 162 main, and 2 1/2 out on screw. I also went ahead and done the green wire mod, because i have a HRC power kit on order. I think I need a bigger main with a 45 pilot. Pulls hard at low and mid throttle, but seems to die on top end. Any suggestions would be great. banghead.gif

Dying on top usually means it's rich, but not always. It depends on how it's dying. If it's acting like a false rev limiter, it's probably rich. If it's just a bog, it may be lean. I doubt it's lean with a 165 main.
