How much if any faster is an 06 raptor with slip on pipe than a stock 08 450r? My buddy has one and we're racing them this weekend. Not much weight difference he has the raptor and weighs anout 180 I've got the R ond weigh about 165.

Always been a honda fan,but if you both are equal riders the R is going to get a spank down.

you will lose. In a straight line the raptor takes the R stock for stock.. I put a pipe, lid off, sparks filter and ring and rejetted mine and was barely beating..but beating a stock raptor. Added a cam and i would murder it by like 8-10 bikes on 300ft.

my 06 450r with hrc kit was pulling 5 lengths on a totally stock 06 700r

Stock 450R against a Raptor 700 with a slip on, I'd say he'd win it. I never raced a raptor when my 450 was stock, but I was only beating my friends 700xx by about 4 lengths, and a Raptor 700 seems a good bit faster than a 700xx. With the HRC kit installed, I beat every raptor I ever raced. Most of them just had intake/exhaust as far as I know.

i would woop on a piped 660 alllll dayy with my stock 04. but if you get one with motor work.... i cant beat one with my skinny but on my dads raptor.
but yeah i agree with everyone else.
these threads stopped for alittle while... but now theyre just getting ridiculous.

DID U EVER RACE THE RAPTOR OR WHAT???

My buddy has a raptor 700 with full exhaust, intake, cams and powercommander and I beat him everytime with the mods in my sig. He was in disbelief cause he thought for sure he was going to smoke me. He talked about it so much that he even had me convinced that he was going to walk all over me. Now he's getting his head ported and an extended swingarm which should put him out in front of me but I'm getting my head ported also this winter lol.

Is it just me... or do the words "rappy" and "rape" being used in the same sentance make you want to laugh... but feel icky about it?

I have an 07' with full BUB exhaust, HRC kit(cam-airbox mods) and a K&N and have had the same results with my buddies Rappy 700.
He has Yosh full exhaust, power commander, and intake mods and it isn't a race.........

All I can say is it is great to see all the Yamahahaha guys line em up and have a TRX walk on em'.................

with a skilled rider a raptor can hold its own, if you cant launch well there are mild built raptors out there that will get ya
