Full Version: Quad boggs when WOT

i have an '08 yfz 450 and when i have the quad WOT it bogs and even sometimes stalls. Even if im in neutral and rev it up it'll most likely stall when i push the throttle all the way in.

Any ideas? I'm afraid of hittin jumps cuz i dont wanna go to hit the throttle and have the damn thing die on me.

I have a full moto RS4 pipe with the lid on if that helps at all

anyone?

I would say the carb in clogged, check the float Bowl and main jet. What about your Air filter, is it dirty and what mods do you have if any. Got to be something that easy.

I had the same problem everyone told me to change my jetting. Mine was worse when it was cold. I changed my jetting but haven't ridden it since so I can't say if it helped.

i brought it to the dealer and they said that im goin to need some $300 part

go to YFZ central and look up carb mod. You zip tie or o-ring the a lever on the side of the carb where the throttle cable goes. You can also find this on thumper talk. And you may also have to adjust the jetting.

What are you running for jetting. Sounds like either your needle needs adjusted or you need to go bigger on your main. I have a yfz and mine is jetted just about perfect. Also what needle are you running. The ncvq needle is the most popular.

DID you get your yammi carb fixed what was the prob?
