Iv been racing for quite a while now, and this year im going to give TT racing a try, but I know very little about it as far as quad setup, tire selection, track conditions, things of that nature. Im looking for any kind of info I can get my hands on to learn as much as I can before the season starts. iv been searching for some TT sites to find but im coming up dry. If anybody knows of any sites or has any info that they are willing to share with me that would be great. im also looking for some TT tires, if anybody knows of some forsale, or at least anyplace where I can buy some. Thanks a bunch guys.

I dont know of any, I wish I did. But however, your in the right spot. There are several guys on here that know their stuff! Just ask and someone will help out or at least try. Ive asked a ton of questions on here but learned mostly by reading other peoples post. Ive got a 05 R that is TT/ST race ready that is SUPER CLEAN that Im getting ready to sell. Ive got about $10k in it and will probably ask around 5k for it. I just dont want to part it out just yet. It would save someone the HIT on all the necessities you need. Id try Jeremy at MX Midwest for tires. He ships them out all day everyday. Good price on Hoosiers.

If you have a specific question you can ask it here and we will do our best to answer it. Otherwise go to a local track and find out who the fast guys are and just look over their bike and ask them questions. Most people will be more than willing to help you get started.

Will I would start will the basics and that is: Axle or spacers, swinger, dead man kill switch, Nerf bars, boots, Lowing kit or shock Revaluing, and a good set of tires. When you set up your bike make sure you set the front at 4 1\4 to 4 3\4 and the rear 5 1\4 to 5 3\4, this will help with traction. Also if you use a lowering kit in the rear make sure you do not over lower the rear, I found this takes wight off the rear tires and puts it on the front. You will also need a REALLY BIG MOTOR this guys are fast and there setup is up to Par, but most will not help you with this. Find a Buddie at the track become friends and more than likely he will be more than happy to help you. This is how I met Justin, was here on the org and we got together last fall and be talking ever since.

Where are you from, here in the Midwest? If so you should be able to find a lot of tracks that hold TT races. There's serial of them posted here in the TT Flat Track Section. If you have question be more specific when asking you we will do are beat to help with your problems.

I agree with most of that, expect for the motor part. Do not get a big motor. Keep it a 450. If you go bigger you will severly limit the classes you can run. Also you can get all the hp you would ever want for TT from a stock bore. If you are new to riding and just starting out I would recommend getting a nice suspension setup before you even touch the motor. Then just start slowly, piston, cam, headwork ect. Unless you are going to run pro there is no need for a 60 hp motor. 50 will be more than enough for most all of you amature classes, but dont get caught up in the numbers. Find what feels good for you and you are most comfortable with, and that is also what will be the fastest for you.

I have a lot of used tires and can also get new tires, so if you are looking for parts or tires or anything send me a pm and I will get you hooked up.

Yeah I guess the motor is up to your personal Preference, I Just love Hp and need if when i run on big flat tracks with banshee that have 101 hp. Justin is right and I was going to add that, stock bore with a CP race 14.1 comp, head work, pipe and good shock setup would be Key. Also I have heard you can get the same horse with a stock bore just less Torque.
