Will I would start will the basics and that is: Axle or spacers, swinger, dead man kill switch, Nerf bars, boots, Lowing kit or shock Revaluing, and a good set of tires. When you set up your bike make sure you set the front at 4 1\4 to 4 3\4 and the rear 5 1\4 to 5 3\4, this will help with traction. Also if you use a lowering kit in the rear make sure you do not over lower the rear, I found this takes wight off the rear tires and puts it on the front. You will also need a REALLY BIG MOTOR this guys are fast and there setup is up to Par, but most will not help you with this. Find a Buddie at the track become friends and more than likely he will be more than happy to help you. This is how I met Justin, was here on the org and we got together last fall and be talking ever since.
Where are you from, here in the Midwest? If so you should be able to find a lot of tracks that hold TT races. There's serial of them posted here in the TT Flat Track Section. If you have question be more specific when asking you we will do are beat to help with your problems.
I agree with most of that, expect for the motor part. Do not get a big motor. Keep it a 450. If you go bigger you will severly limit the classes you can run. Also you can get all the hp you would ever want for TT from a stock bore. If you are new to riding and just starting out I would recommend getting a nice suspension setup before you even touch the motor. Then just start slowly, piston, cam, headwork ect. Unless you are going to run pro there is no need for a 60 hp motor. 50 will be more than enough for most all of you amature classes, but dont get caught up in the numbers. Find what feels good for you and you are most comfortable with, and that is also what will be the fastest for you.
I have a lot of used tires and can also get new tires, so if you are looking for parts or tires or anything send me a pm and I will get you hooked up.
