I found a good description of how to safety wire my bike for the upcoming season on the internet. I am curious if anyone had some comments or pictures specific for the 450R they can share?

if it's good enough for the aircraft industry... then it should be fine for what you want it for on your 450.
Other than the drain plug... I don't where else you're going to use it.

get a set of good pliers(revesable) 6". I have proto's but they are identical to snap-on. I use them as much as zip ties. For wire I use .025 and .032.

This one track for supermoto is wanting the oil filter plug, oil drain, all clamps, transmission bolt wired. Plus carb vent tube reservoir bottle.

Yeah I used to race sport bikes. If you get into racing someplace that requires it, its worth looking at the specialty stuff from places like pegasus racing. They have jigs to drill nuts and bolt heads, some really nice wire pliers, etc.
On sport bikes you end up safety wiring pretty much any fastener (brake calipers, all coolant clamps, oil filter, oil drain)... basically anything that could affect the safety of your bike if it loosened, could leak fluids if loosened, or if the fastener came loose could release debris parts onto the track.
