the reason why the sub frame is flat, is becaus my original plan was to go all flat black, but the main frame had a flaw, so the guy said he would re powder it for free, and when he redid it I asked if he could do it in gloss and he said sure becaus its the same price. but he wouldnt redo the sub frame for free becaus it had no flaws. so now im stuck with flat black sub. no big deal! I like it.

Ok well I got home today, usual time 4:30 had a snack, made a fire in the garage, came inside after cleaning some more parts, ate supper, took a nap after supper at 6:20pm and I just woke up about 10 minuts ago 10:50. HAHA, I know im slaking

today, cleened the rads, and took apart the heads, calculated shims, and washed lots more parts. tomoro there will be more assembly.

here is the progress from this weekend. I spent time mostly painting and shining parts but did get alot done. its all shimed up now. and looking good so far.

Looks good man just to let you know you are missing the chain slider on the front of the swing arm!!! I would get that on there before you chew right through your swing arm-JOEYD

well also if u notice there is no fender bolts in it I just placed everything on it to take a pic, I also got a new slider for the chain, its just not in yet. there is still lots of ods and ends.

already got a set of GTT dual rate springs on the way so half way thrue the season just need a revalve and a rear shock upgrade and im set.

yea it hauls! Ive got 15/38 gearing with 20 inch rears and it has no probs pulling the limiter.

Dam, that'll be a brand-new ride with the revalves! I loved my rear... That gearing's tall but I push paddles lol. I gotta start riding trails more.

Just noticed this thread.....your R is looking sweet. If you want to keep it looking that good I suggest you clean it after every ride....not only does that keep it clean,it also allows you to find any problems much easier.

Oh...and in case you are wondering...15/38 gearing and 20 inch tires equals to 87 mph at the limiter ...as measured by a Bushnell radar gun.

not with these shocks HAHA, I just got dual rate front springs tho man, and will be revalving mid season, and getting a rebuilt rear with a GTT link. wel c how she flies! and dude let me know when you wanna sell me thoes elkas! I will be running 20 inch rears for the starting of the season so I need to pick up like a 12 sprocket. I got a 13-14-15 right now.
