2009 Lucas Oil MWEDT Schedule

Round 1 OMAR March 28th
Round 2 Tooth and Nail April 18th
Round 3 OMAR May 9th
Round 4 Taylorville IL June 13th
Round 5 Quincy IL August 15th
Round 6 Tooth and Nail September 26th
Round 7 Urbana KS October 24th

The 2009 series will have two Motorcycle classes this year added to the lineup. Complete details with classes, gate fees, etc...will be posted soon. Mark your calenders for the above dates.

ATVA Memberships are no longer required for any races except the nationals.

There is a $20 MWEDT Annual Series Membership fee if you are racing for points - this money comes back to you though in the form of end of year awards at the banquet. You can still race if you don't want to join the series, however there will be a $10 non-member fee.

Also - Gate fees have been lowered to $5 as well!

Entry fees have been lowered to $30 - $5 of each entry goes into the end of year awards fund.

You should try and go to all of them. It is a top notch run series that is put on by some of the guys that also help with the Duro Extreme Dirt Track Nationals. After talking with Roy Reed it sounds like he is there for the riders. The payout in the pro classes should be good, and the end of the year points awards sound excellent also. Last year they gave out more and better stuff than what was given out at the Duro National banquet.

I know the OMAR track is one of the best in the country, and Quincy will have a super nice track also. I have not been to any of the others so dont really know about them.

We will be having a couple more races in Quincy that arent part of that series, but I have not seen any dates yet. I will post them when I find out though so keep your eyes open. I think they are trying to have 5 races all together.

I do not know the exact price, but it is less than $60.

Just heard that the Lucas Oil race scheduled for Ava, MO this weekend has been postponed til next weekend April the 4th.

The friday night practice has been cancelled. Races are still on for Saturday with practice starting at noon. There will be a swap meet before hand if anyone wants to come early and see if they can find some bargains.

Everyone ready for this weekends race? I am that is when I'm getting my quad back from H&H there bring it to the track for me Saturday.

We'll see what it dose rebuilt the hole top end and went with a Web Cam. I hope it has more than my 510 kit, I will be very disappointed if it dose not. I almost want to hold on to my 510 kit for dunes and to make sure I like my new setup as much as I did the 510 kit.

I am, but Im not. I want to race, but I also hope it gets rained out. I had the worst arm pump ever at the last race, and would like the extra time to get in shape if it gets rained out. haha I have been doing a bunch of new workouts so hopefully it will help. 20 laps is a long ass time.

You better shop the crap last time you did make it rain with that rain dance!

There will be a rare open practice at OMAR on the 25th for those of you wanting to get some time on the track.

Don't you thank it would have made more sence to move the start time the 1:00 like OMAR. that way the rain chance hey did show was more at night than during the day. Man I pissed I'm gettting my bike back saturday mother fricker.

My weather stuff said it was 80% chance, but yes moving the start time would have made sense. They are just trying to keep everyone happy. There are people coming from hundreds of miles away so they dont want them to show up and then have to cancel.

Load your stuff up and come to Macomb, IL. Sounds like there should be a good turnout. It is just circle track, but its an awsome circle track. That is where our crew is headed.

Thanks Justin, I went and seen my bike yesterday and the dam starter went out on me. So I guess It was a good thing they did get rained out, I would have been pissed paying all this money on the top end and get there to find out the starter went out. I would have been mad enough to put my foot up someones ass. There getting my swinger put on and I'm getting a full set a American racers cut and grooved and installed. So I hope with this I can move up in the placement and not be last because my dam bike won't say started.

Went ahead and went with a Stock bore Cp piston 14.25 to 1 and a custom grind Web cam! I hope it dose what I wanted it to do. If not I ketp my 510 kit just in case I need more.

Are you still taking your bike to that same shop that messes everything up? You need to get away from there. Also dont put a new starter in it. Switch it over to a kick start.

No I did not take it to the same shop H&H Extreme has my bike and I hope they don't frick it up.

You can call TNT and they can get you all the parts you need. I can bring them to the race next weekend, or they can ship them if you need them sooner.

Can you get me the cost? I found a kit on ebay that would let me use kick or Battery for 435.00.

I have no idea on the cost. They have to order each individual part seperate. They dont make a kit for it. Just call the shop and ask for Jason. Lose the battery and starter. That will save you a bunch of weight.

This weekend back to OMAR...Practice at 5:30 races start at 7 saturday night.

Hope the weather holds out.... So far, we're 100% on event rescheduling due to weather.

I was hoping after last year, we'd get a bit of a break from the "rain every weekend" routine.

When I looked yesterday it said rain wed., thur., and fri.

LOL so far I have been. I just checked the forcast and it rained last night, and supposed to rain today, tomorrow, friday, saturday, sunday, and monday. Haha Well the more it rains the more time I have for my ankle to heal. That sucked last race trying to hold on with one foot. I didn't even let my right foot touch the peg. It was a fun track n I could have been so much faster if my ankle was messed up. Oh well.

Justin you are a great racer I will give you that you held me off and then but me out with your mess up foot. But hey coming off a race and than lining backup and racing you guys i cant say much. I was tried at first and did thank I would finsh the race but I raced until the end!

ROUND 3 POSTPONED

OMAR was hit by a tornado this morning. It sounds like the track suffered some heavy damage. Roy and the others that live by the track are all ok though. They said there is a lot of work that needs to be done to get ready for the national in 3 weeks. The MWEDT race will be made up later in the year.
