tuned at extremetec atv. mt gilead, ohio. jeff barker

was'nt exactly ideal conditions, which will explain my runs.

furnace in the shop broke, and when i got there at 9 this morning it was 40 degrees in the shop.

1. blue line was base run. as i brought it with stock 06 up airbox on my fcr. still tuned from last time.

2. red line is after adding the 06+ FCI and with the stock cdi. we switched cdi's on that run because the dyno would not pick up the torque reading with the dyna. but he forgot to put the torque graph on my memory card anyway. and did'nt put the run in rpm.

i think i can change that if anyone knows how???

the A/F was a constant 14:1 on the FCI run. which was leaner than the 13:1 it had been tuned at previously.

we could have tuned out a hp or 2 but decided to leave it lean at 14:1 since the temp was so low. if we had richened it up, when the temp goes up this summer it would go way rich. with jeff's advice, i decided to leave it there.

so as you see,

it reached 56hp and it had 38 and change torque

needless to say, i am really pleased.

thanks to all who have helped me out.

mixxer..... thanks for the work.

That's a very nice combination of parts/porting that are all working together and producing a sweet hp/torque #.
scrapper450r
here is a better pic.

having trouble with file size.

thanks jasmoore

That's awesome Scrapper! It never stops pulling!
And it's a pump gasser?
Sweet.
I am curious what it would do with a Venom or DASA exhaust. I had a Rossier myself in the past. I loved the look and sound, but it never performed for me. (for me). Although it looks to be pretty darn skippy for you!

Nice Runs Steven!

scrapper450r
thanks jess and mark.

pump gas. burnin sunoco 94

i got some ideas on how to squeeze a hp or 2 out of it

may go back to throw it dyno again in a couple months. warmer weather. just found out im gonna be up that way again. my dyno trip today was planned in conjunction with a nuerologist visit. its a 2 hr drive.

gotta have my s1 and L5 vertebrae fused together. degenerative disc and adema in the bones. fun stuff. at least the dyno makes me feel better when i go

jess......... i would like to try another pipe. no honda buddies around here. all i got is you guys. so nobody has any pipes for me to try. yamaha country. i live among fools. ha j/k only some of them. lol

if he put the runfile on your zip, all you have to do is download the free winpep software and pull up the runfile, he could email you the torque graph also, then you could put up a graph with HP, Torque, and A/F curve all on one nice sheet, many folks around here have the software too, so its no problem

cant wait to see it, thanks for sharing!
chornet44
looks good man... one a these days ill show you a graph of how your stock cam is doing in my 07... fast enough to tear up a shoulder thats for sure lol

miller......... what do you mean by zip???

i looked into the download. its a compressed file and says i gotta have winzip to enlarge it after download.

if i gotta buy that, im not gonna do it. maybe you know a better way.

im gonna shoot him a e mail. get those torque runs and a run in rpm.
miller450r
sorry, showing my age...by zip i meant what is likely your USB flash drive or thumb drive..etc..

actually if they gave you a *.drf file , then that is cool and you can view it easily, winzip has a free download

Go here (BELOW) and download this file, then unzip it and and double-click setup.exe

http://www.dynojet.com/downloads/software.aspx

if you don't have winzip or equivalent you can get it free from www.winzip.com, a free trial : http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm

miller, i saved them to a memory card. i suppose that is the same.

i loaded them to pc just like when uploading photos.

so i can just send it to you as an attachment.

if that will work, ill send them. he may get them to me yet. i emailed him today

Nice lookin runs steve!

I need to get back up there for a tuneup before summer.

Without the basefile i dont think you can do anything else with the graph, you probably got the filtered graph on your usb drive.
scrapper450r
bawb..... thanks

jeff is a heck of a good guy. cant go wrong dealing with him.

i think i'm gonna come down your way and run it again on the dyno at athens. they did'nt seem to knowledgeable about tuning atv's on the phone. that was 2 years ago though. then, they had no slicks to run on it. they primarily work on H-D's.

i just am looking for the A/F reading after the outside temp warms up a little. so the tires are'nt gonna make a big deal for me.

i finally got to take a spin on it tonite. man..... this thing hauls. 56 isnt a huge number. in fact, its probably got a couple more since we left it lean cause of the ambient. the story is that it pulls so hard and you cant kill it. run a gear high and just pin it. the curve is so broad. i cant thank john (venom) enough. this thing runs awesome.

That's great scrapper,looks good

very nice setup

I agree with Jesse. The ESR pro I had pulled a better number than the rossier, same day, same dyno. A dasa or sparks ultra core would probably gain you 1-2 more hp.

Nice runs though. Pretty close to what mine did.
scrapper450r
bueller, i agree with you on that.

currently, finances are putting a damper on a new exhaust. been keeping my eyes peeled for a used dasa.

been some venom's for sale from time to time. which i would consider as well. sure is alot of cash to spend just to see. and possibly make no gain. but i think it would.

I am right there with you brother!
I REALLY want to, but I have some other things I have to do.

Great runs scrapper! Terrific power for pump gas, congrats.
scrapper450r

blue...... 08 airbox

red.... FCI with stock CDI

green....... FCI with dyna box

i have got to get back to dyno when weather warms up. with dasa pipe hopefully.

great numbers. i would love to see the torque graph. I bet it makes torque faster.
scrapper450r
garett......... i would like to see it as well. lol

he didnt add them to my disk. and i e mailed to see if he could get them to me, but without effect.

it gained 2 ft. lbs somewhere over my previous runs.

nice gains. very happy with intake. and that is un tuned. we left it lean because of a 45 degree ambient. i hope to revisit this in the near future. gonna run it again to double check the A/F.
KBR
Very Nice runs thanks for sharing
